Model 3 in Alberta

I was spending some time thinking about the last quarter and how the Model 3 arrival in Canada is going to significantly improve EV ownership numbers. I came across some numbers from our friends at fleetcarma, who regularly publish EV adoption stats with great breakdown by province.

According to registration data, there were 2785 Model 3s registered in Canada in Q2, the first quarter they were available and we only heard of owners getting their hands on them near the end of May, so that means pretty much all of them were delivered in 2 months. The bulk went to Ontario (1881) and BC (534).

Publicly accessible information points to some interesting stats for Model 3 ownership in Alberta. A member of our club was lucky enough to have the first Model 3 delivery in Alberta, which occurred on May 30, 2018. According to registration data, at the end of Q2, 2018, there were 55 Model 3s registered in Alberta.

So basically in two months time, the Calgary Tesla Service Center and store at Chinook Mall managed to move about 28 Model 3s per month (almost one per day). Here’s hoping that momentum continues and we see a huge spike in Q3 as we get additional shipments, there no doubt is enough demand here.

For more details, check out the full report at the FleetCarma website here.

Hello,

I am expecting my Model 3 RWD mid September 2020 - would appreciate if someone could direct me to the best option I have for set of winter wheels ( rims + tires of my choice ). Thanks in advance.
